They’ll want to come again tomorrow

At Kaleen Outside School Hours Care, we provide a welcoming and enriching environment for children before and after school, as well as during school holidays through our engaging vacation care program.

Located conveniently within Kaleen Primary School, our service supports children’s wellbeing, growth, and independence through a wide variety of hands-on, play-based activities.

Our team of passionate educators work closely with families to ensure every child feels safe, included, and excited to attend each day. With a strong focus on fun, friendship, and lifelong learning, we offer flexible care options that fit the unique needs of each family in our community. Whether it’s exploring creativity through arts and crafts, active outdoor play, or quiet moments with a book, there’s something for every child at Kaleen OSHC.

Safeguarding children and young people

At The Y Canberra Region safeguarding is embedded in our organisational culture. We are dedicated to providing safe, inclusive environments where children and young people are respected, protected and heard. Our commitment is demonstrated through the implementation of well-defined Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and procedures, ongoing staff training to identify and mitigate risks and a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse or neglect. We actively partner with families and children to ensure they feel empowered to raise concerns with confidence, and we fulfil all legal obligations to report and respond to any matters related to safety or welfare.
