Bungendore

They’ll want to come again tomorrow

Located in the heart of our community, Bungendore Outside School Hours Care is a dedicated, community-based service committed to supporting local families through high-quality care before, after school and vacation care.

Our compassionate and dedicated staff foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to grow, explore, and thrive. We prioritise each child’s development and wellbeing through engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote creativity, independence, and social connection.

Our programs encompass a diverse range of activities, from outdoor adventures to arts and crafts, all thoughtfully designed to ignite imagination and enjoyment. Children are supported in developing self-reliance and confidence as they participate in a variety of activities, including cultural learning experiences that expand their understanding of the world.

Operated from Bungendore Primary School on Gibraltar Street, our convenient and welcoming location ensures easy access for local families. At Bungendore OOSH, we believe in empowering children through inspiring programs, supported by strong partnerships between families and educators.

Safeguarding children and young people

At The Y Canberra Region safeguarding is embedded in our organisational culture. We are dedicated to providing safe, inclusive environments where children and young people are respected, protected and heard. Our commitment is demonstrated through the implementation of well-defined Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and procedures, ongoing staff training to identify and mitigate risks and a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse or neglect. We actively partner with families and children to ensure they feel empowered to raise concerns with confidence, and we fulfil all legal obligations to report and respond to any matters related to safety or welfare.
