The Y Canberra Region is keeping its eye firmly on their goal of building a better world with and for young people, today meeting with Independents for Canberra candidate, Thomas Emerson.

But how about taking a closer look at the Why in the Y - the why we do what we do, rather than the what we do. It all comes back to the Y’s vision – to create a better world, with and for young people. Our mission is to empower children, young people and communities Australia-wide to build a just, sustainable, equitable and inclusive world where every person can thrive in body, mind and spirit.

They say if you enjoy what you do, you will never work a day in your life. Whilst at the end of the day work is always going to be work, what a real difference it makes if you genuinely feel that what you’re doing is truly making a difference to the lives of those around you.

Len was a man of vision, a person embedded into his local community and a valued member here at the Y Canberra Region. We are grateful for Len’s support, and he will be fondly remembered by our Y team.
