Our Jenny McCombe Early Learning Centre in Jamison celebrates our children as capable, confident and unique members of their community. We strive to create opportunities for children to express themselves and investigate connectedness through learning relationships, social interactions and play. We believe children should be valued and seen as our future leaders who are full of potential, wonder and creativity.

At our Jamison centre, we view families as a child’s first teacher; we strive to build partnerships as we work together and grow. We believe communication is vital to building a strong partnership. We strive to grow, learn and develop our knowledge and practice. We treat each other with respect and utilise strengths within our team.

We aim to create a nurturing environment that ignites imagination and wonder and promotes lifelong learning. In our service we have spaces that promote active and healthy lifestyles, sustainability, and care and empathy for the land, animals and all people.

Our Jamison Early Learning Centre offers an environment full of enrichment and growth opportunities. As part of the Y Canberra Region community, we pride ourselves on building strong relationships with each other, our community, the children and their families.

The Jenny McCombe childcare in Jamison has 4 rooms within the centre. We have educator to child ratios in place to enable the best learning experience for the children, and we can accommodate up to 63 children in the room ratios shown below.

Silky Oak Room

Age: Birth – 1 yr old

Red Gum Room

Age: Birth – 2 yrs old

Wattle Room

Jarrah Room

Age: 3 – 5 yrs
