South Queanbeyan

They’ll want to come again tomorrow

You’ll find us right at Queanbeyan South Public School, on the corner of Cameron and Alanbar Streets—super handy for local families!

We’re here before and after school during the term, and we run an awesome vacation care program over the holidays too.

At our place, children can just be themselves. We’ve created a safe, inclusive, and fun space where they can play, learn, chill out, and connect with friends (and maybe even try something new!). Our educators work closely with families to make sure every child is supported, engaged, and celebrated for who they are.

We’re not your average OOSH – we’re more like a little community. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with the children and create programs based on their interests not just to tick a box. There’s always something happening, from craft explosions and science experiments to, dress-up days, and outside adventures.

Safeguarding children and young people

At The Y Canberra Region safeguarding is embedded in our organisational culture. We are dedicated to providing safe, inclusive environments where children and young people are respected, protected and heard. Our commitment is demonstrated through the implementation of well-defined Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and procedures, ongoing staff training to identify and mitigate risks and a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse or neglect. We actively partner with families and children to ensure they feel empowered to raise concerns with confidence, and we fulfil all legal obligations to report and respond to any matters related to safety or welfare.
