They’ll want to come again tomorrow

At Gowrie Outside Hours School Care, we offer both permanent and casual care and activities for children before and after school during the school term.

Our programs are designed to collaborate closely with families to provide a safe, supportive environment where children can continue to develop, socialise, and enjoy themselves.

Our focus is on creating engaging experiences that promote learning through fun, helping children acquire new skills, build friendships, and explore new opportunities. We are committed to fostering an inclusive community and believe in the transformative power of inspired children, families, and educators.

Our Gowrie programs operate at Gowrie Primary School on Jeffries Street, a convenient location ideal for South Canberra families.

Safeguarding children and young people

At The Y Canberra Region safeguarding is embedded in our organisational culture. We are dedicated to providing safe, inclusive environments where children and young people are respected, protected and heard. Our commitment is demonstrated through the implementation of well-defined Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and procedures, ongoing staff training to identify and mitigate risks and a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse or neglect. We actively partner with families and children to ensure they feel empowered to raise concerns with confidence, and we fulfil all legal obligations to report and respond to any matters related to safety or welfare.
