At Gungahlin Early Learning Centre, we are deeply committed to fostering strong, secure relationships based on Reggio Emilia theory, recognising that these connections are the foundation for children’s growth and learning.
We understand that building high-quality, trusting bonds with children is essential for nurturing confident, capable learners who feel valued and supported in their educational journey.
As advocates for children’s rights, we believe every child deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and their voices must be heard. We empower children to take ownership of their learning by encouraging curiosity and exploration, allowing them to ask questions and engage in open-ended discovery. This approach supports their independence and creative thinking, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning.
We also recognise the importance of collaboration in a child’s development and see every family as a vital part of our community. By actively inviting participation, involvement, and feedback, we create a strong partnership with families, ensuring our curriculum reflects the unique values and needs of each child.
Our centre is committed to sustainability, integrating eco-conscious practices that not only benefit our service but also inspire a sense of belonging and responsibility in the children. We embrace our environment as a third teacher, helping children understand their role in the wider world.
Located in Canberra’s North, our Gungahlin Early Learning Centre offers a nurturing, inclusive environment where children of all backgrounds regardless of age, gender, religion, or ability are respected and supported to grow and thrive. We are the ideal choice for families who seek a childcare service focused on quality education, sustainability, and community engagement.
Our Gungahlin Early Learning Centre offers an environment full of enrichment and growth opportunities. As part of the Y Canberra Region community, we pride ourselves on building strong relationships with each other, our community, the children and their families.
Every day is an opportunity to learn, explore, discover and connect to build confidence in the children.
