Facilities

The Lodge includes separate driver rooms, and accommodates up to 178 people in dorm-style rooms of 4, 8, 10 and 12. Beds are bunk style with all linen provided. There is plenty of space, with large indoor common rooms with television/DVD.

We have two dorm-style buildings – Banksia Lodge and Wattle Lodge. Larger groups are suited to Banksia Lodge, with smaller groups more suited to Wattle Lodge.

There is also Wi-Fi access available to teachers. The Lodge offers climate controlled rooms, heated indoor areas, a barbecue terrace and an outdoor recreation space (including kilometres of surrounding hiking trails). Ample off-street coach parking is available.

Fully catered accommodation packages are available. Where available, teachers’ rooms include TV, coffee/tea, refrigerator and private bathrooms. Free coach driver accommodation is also provided.

Security

For your security and safety we have CCTV cameras, a back-to base fire alarm monitor connected to all rooms. The main entrance, bedrooms and all bathrooms are secured by keypad entry, and access to all rooms is via internal corridors.

Catering

We offer a full catering service with healthy and nutritious meals to suit your group’s needs. Customised lunches are available, with special diets happily accommodated. Please call to discuss your needs with our friendly staff.

Visiting Canberra

Bush Capital Lodge is located in O’Connor in Canberra’s inner north, surrounded by O’Connor’s Ridge and Bruce Ridge nature reserves with plenty of bush walking and wildlife.

Home to the Australian National Collection, you can explore culture, art and history throughout our museums, galleries and archives. You can see embassies, landmarks, markets, shopping, food and wine. There’s something for everyone in Canberra!

For a cultural hit, visit any of our National Galleries, the Nishi Gallery, or the Palace Electric Theatre.

There are plenty of food options for those who want to try out the bustling restaurant scene, like Bicicletta, Rebel Rebel, or Lazy Su.
